Postdoctoral Research Associate: Early Childhood Special Education

The University of Maryland Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention (CECEI) is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate who has a strong background in special education. The initial full-time appointment will be for one year, with renewal dependent on available funding and performance. The position will be based at both the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) in Baltimore and the University of Maryland in College Park, with periodic travel throughout the state for meetings. Postdoctoral Research Associate: Applied Developmental Research

The University of Maryland Center for Early Childhood Education and Intervention (CECEI) is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Associate who has strong quantitative expertise and interest in applied developmental research in the early childhood arena. The initial full-time appointment will be for two years, starting in June 2019, with the possibility of a renewal depending on available funding. Summer/Fall Research Assistant

CECEI seeks energetic, detail-oriented, highly-motivated, and organized individuals who can work autonomously and in a collaborative setting to support the Center’s Children Study Their World (CSW) Professional Development Project. CECEI developed the CSW 4-year-old preschool curriculum that is currently being implemented throughout the state of Maryland. CSW Research Assistants will provide administrative support, and in so doing play a critical role in the completion of this implementation effort. Research Assistant for Trauma Sensitive Pedagogy Project

Researchers at the Pennsylvania State University and the University of Maryland seek two detail-oriented, energetic, highly organized and independent individuals to support their Trauma Sensitive Pedagogy (TSP) curriculum project. One position will be based at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA and the other at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD. This is a ten-to-twenty-hour per week, six-month position, with renewal contingent upon funding and performance. All Student RAs will enroll in an approved independent study or similar course and their hours in the Center will count toward course credits. Typically, 10 RA hours per week equals 3 course credit hours. Student RAs must cover the cost of tuition for this course.

Graduate Technology Research Assistant

CECEI is seeking a Research Assistant who will primarily assist with an app project and website improvement and maintenance. This position may also assist with other technology-related tasks. RAs will be expected to work at the CECEI approximately 10 hours per week. Please note that priority will be given to applicants who are available/interested in working for two consecutive semesters. Communications Assistant/General

CECEI is seeking Undergraduate or Graduate Research Assistants who will assist with producing blog and social media content and other communications-related tasks, contribute to event planning, and provide other project support as needed within CECEI. CECEI seeks Undergraduate and Graduate Research Assistants to assist with several projects, such as continued development and rollout of an early childhood curriculum, development of a smartphone app for families of children receiving this curriculum, implementation of special education services in early childhood, and promoting family engagement in young children’s learning.
