The Center for Diversity and Inclusion in Higher Education (CDIHE) was established in 2017 in the University of Maryland College of Education, as a national center for research, policy, professional standards, and consultation for universities across the country and abroad on critical issues related to diversity, inclusion, and social justice in higher education.
CDIHE is hosting its biennial convening of the Thought Leaders Summit from October 2 - 4, 2019 at the University of Maryland. The summit’s theme is “Conceptualization and Methodological Approaches to Campus Climate Research.”
During the summit, the invited thought leaders will also outline a collective manuscript centering campus climate research — contributing to CDIHE’s broader national research agenda regarding diversity and inclusion in higher education.
The three-day convening will be hosted at The Cambria Hotel in College Park, Maryland, located just outside Washington, DC. The forum will bring together a select group of national thought leaders: scholars, administrators, and advocates across higher education to discuss conventional notions of campus climate research and emerging conceptualizations.
