APRIL 11, 2019 — Congratulations to our American Educational Research Association (AERA) Award 2019 winners!

Dr. Ji Seung Yang, professor of the Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation Program in HDQM, has been named Outstanding Reviewer for 2018 for the Journal of Educational and Behavioral Statistics!

Tessa Johnson, student in the Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation Program in HDQM, has been voted chair-elect of the AERA Graduate Student Council. She will join the AERA Council in 2020-2021!

Dr. Allan Wigfield, professor of the Human Development Program in HDQM, has received the 2019 Sylvia Scribner Award!

Lauren Singer Trakhman, student in the Human Development Program in HDQM, has been honored with the 2019 Best Graduate Student Paper Award!

Yi Feng, student in the Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation Program in HDQM, has been selected the grand prize winner of the 2019 Division D In-Progress Research Gala!

Amanda BurkholderAPRIL 5, 2019 — The Graduate School of UMD recently hosted its university-wide Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, in which students have only three minutes to discuss the significance of their research to a live audience and panel of judges. Amanda Burkholder, pursuing her PhD in the Human Development Program of HDQM, was among the many doctoral students to compete but one of the few to win! Congratulations, Amanda!
Daniel McNeishAPRIL 5, 2019 — Dan McNeish (class of '15), graduated with his PhD from the Measurement, Statistics, and Evaluation Program in HDQM and continues to succeed in the field. Most recently, he has received the American Educational Research Association's (AERA) Division D Early Career Award and the American Psychological Assocation's (APA) Division 5 Anastasi Early Career Award. He was also named a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science!
